Le Barcito, Silverlake Lounge and Club Chapala
I just found out the Le Barcito switched owners. The bar is exactly the same. I guess the new owner is happy with the current format. UPDATE!!! (6-5-08) I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP IS NOT TRUE. I GUESS I SHOULDN’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING I HEAR IN A BAR. LOL. I THINK THE PERSON THAT TOLD ME WAS CONFUSING LE BAR WITH LEBARCITO. Also ex bartender at Le Barcito, Sal, has a new job at the Silverlake Lounge down the street on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays. Local bar patron Brian also DJs there on Saturday afternoons (4-8pm)
In sad news, it appears Club Chapala is up for sale (pic coming soon). Darn, I have only lived in the neighbood less than a year and things are already changing. That is the closest bar to my house. I will miss it when its gone. It appears to be the effects of the bad economy and maybe immigration raids. Latinos are opting to stay in more and more.

Not sure where you’re getting your information, but there’s no change of ownership here.

Thanks for the clarification. The rumor of ownership change sounded a little strange when I heard it and I haven’t had a chance to visit Le Barcito since then. Hope to make it there within the week.
